Developing a prayer strategy

that sticks

ESSENTIAL: Widespread Prayer - We deliberately engage

lots of Christians to intercede on behalf of the ministry site.

“Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He

ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as

John also taught his disciples.” So He said to them, “When you pray, say:

Our Father in Heaven Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your

will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” (Luke 11:1-3)

What’s your personal prayer life

like?

Are you a do’er or a be’er?

Enlisting prayer partners You do not have, because you do not ask. James 4:2

Tips

Share stories of kids, share stories of kids, share stories of kids – this

is important, the more you share the more others want to become

involved

Must be regular and specific – I suggest weekly or twice monthly

Ensure that praises and updates of prayers that have been answered

and results are communicated – this encourages and motivates team

members

Include your prayer team members on your regular ministry letters and

other updates

Change the names of students in your communication

Mass txt to enlist prayer partners

Start a facebook prayer group

Email 20 people to start a

weekly/biweekly prayer letter
