Upcoming developments: BARRIER FILM

A more sustainable solution for modified atmosphere packaging

Standard PLA films do not offer a barrier performance which makes them suitable for

high barrier packaging. Taghleef Industries, in partnership with , is

developing a range of compostable barrier PLA films suitable for modified atmosphere

packaging.

TARGET: replacement of oil-based plastics, glass or metal packaging.

APPLICATIONS: fresh meat, cheese and sliced meat; MAP in general

FILM PROPERTIES:

- Excellent transparency and gloss

- Hermetic seals (PLA container)

- OTR <3 cm3/m2/d @ 23°C, 0% RH

- Outstanding drum effect
