The Bloomsburg Public Library is celebrating its 130th anniversary, one of only a few organizations in the area that can boast continuous op-eration for that long, and it invites its fellow members to share in that celebration and get to know it again. Enjoy some beer, wine, appetizers and mini desserts prepared with great care and dedication by Library staff and board members while you learn about the value of the library to the community, not only in terms of literacy and learning but also the financial impact. Also have a chance to meet new youth services librarian Angela Musselman-Leister, who in just six months has energized the library's children's programs. September is also Library Card Sign Up month, a nation-wide event supported by the American Library Association aimed at promoting literacy, so if you don't already have one, you can sign up for a library card at the event as well.

Catch up with colleagues as an area nonprofit and two major area employers are featured at our fall Business After Hours.
