This position s upports administrati on, planning and coordination in all aspects of Donor Development. This position works in close collaboration with the B oard, Executive Development staff, and Volunteers. Duties include general clerical, da tabase management, light accounting procedures, and project-based work. Ofce based: part-time professional ofce position, averaging 20 hours a week. Position: Development Administrative Assistant Reports to: Director of Development an d Community Relation s Classication: Hourly Education Required: Associate’s Degree: Bachelor’s preferred Skills Required: Microsoft Ofce, E mail, Internet, Soc ial Media Skills Preferred: Giftworks ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO): • Maintain the list of current, past and prospective donors in donor software • Manage the development database operations including: software program setup, data entry, gift recording and acknowledgments, gift reporting, playbill acknowledgement, sponsor recognition, and maintenance of prospect and donor data. • Maintain record of contract support and materials from donors, sponsors, playbill sales, foundations, and media. • Processing of Corporate Memberships and Sponsorships within ticketing software. • Maintain communication between school, ticketing software, and volunteer base for current data contact lists of current/prospective donors. • Prepare donor queries, written acknowledgement letters, and other campaign literature. • Coordinate all fundraising events including donor lounges, donor cards, managing event processes and logistics, committee meetings, and event follow-up. • Prepare and execute mailings. • Help organize volunteer committees and assist with training of other volunteers. • Point person for management of community donatio n requests for free tickets. • Other duties as necessary and assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred prior exposure to fund- raising processes and database-ma nagement • Professional presentation, with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, and an energetic and engaging personality. • Excellent organizational skills, wi th accuracy and attention to detail • Working knowledge of MS Ofce Suite, Social Media, and database management. • Demonstrated ability to handle donor interest and personal information in a timely manner, with tact and sensitivity, in a condential manner. • Ability to work collaboratively with a strong customer- service orientation. • Ability to set and meet realistic goals, establish work priorities, organize people and materials to reach goals, handle pressure well, and report results. • Ability to multi-task while handling work expectations including telephone, basic ofce machines, reading, writing, typing and computer/data entry, and some travel. • Ability to set and work within a budget, secure price quotes, and indentify cost saving opportunities for department (Theatre) • Some Evening and Weekend Work Required
