Salient Features

The 20 GW scheme for “Development of Solar Parks and Ultra Mega Solar Power Projects” was started Dec 2014.

The capacity of the Scheme was enhanced from 20 GW to 40 MW in

March 2017.

Plan to set up at least 50 Solar Parks by 2021-22. Capacity of Solar

Park will be 500 MW and above. Smaller parks in States with shortage of non-agricultural lands.

Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) is the implementing Agency of the Scheme.

SPPD may be selected in Seven (7) Modes of Development.
