1 Introduction This manual explains how to use DeviceXPlorer Data Logger(hereafter referred to as DxpLOGGER). For information of OPC server, setting with PLC and operating method, refer to each User’s Guide.

1.1 Overview DxpLOGGER is data logging and monitoring alarm software for OPC. Function of data logging, alarm monitoring and trend graph display is supported. It can be used for various fields, such as data collecting system, alarm monitoring system and so on.

1.2 Features - Use of OPC(Supported OPCUA,OPCDA2.05) OPC is standard interface specification for communication, so you can access to the data of cominicated equipment for OPC server (PLC, measuring hardware). High flexible system can be constructible which does not depend on the hardware. - Supports a variety of database Collecting data or monitoring alarm history, DxpLOGGER is able to store to various dtabases not only CSV due to supporting access of database through ODBC. Collecting data to database, MES can work together. DxpLOGGER bufferes gathering data in local disk and loss of dta can be maximally suppressed if connection to the storage location is lost. - Data logging DxpLOGGER provides “Periodic Logging” and “Event logging”. Intervals can be set in a wide range from 50 milliseconds at the fastest to 24 hours. Maximum 512 points can be collected per group. 128 group at most can be made and logging dta 65,536 points (512 ×

128) maximum for both “Periodic Logging` ̀and “Event logging”. For collecting data, calculations as below and various logging are available. *Enginnering value conversion *Multiplying factor calculation to convert over the multiplying factor to pulse value *BCD conversion to BIN *Character string log to convert numbers to character table *Logarithm logging *Logging for amount of change (constantly integrating pulse value) *Square root extraction *Power factor caluculation *Specifying rate-of-change for logging in case of exceeding the rate

- Alarm monitor DxpLOGGER enable to monitor alarm with comparing conditions between each specified value or data. (>,≧,=,≠,≦,<) Replace from existing alarm monitor system can be made easily due to supported combination of 2 conditions (AND/OR). Maximum 1024 points per group, 131,072 points (1024×128)of alarm can be monitored. Monitoring intervals can be set felexibility from the fastest 50 millisecond to 24 hours.

- Data display Logging data is displayed as spread sheet like Excel. Data can be found easily with specifying data of calendar. Data

Page 6: DeviceXPlorer Data Logger ユーザーズガイド- Use of OPC (Supported OPCUA,OPCDA2.05 ) OPC is standard interface specification for communication, so you can access to the data

- 6 -

between more than one date/file can be confirmed at once.

- Trend graph display Logging data can be displayed as graph. DxpLOGGER supports historical trend for event collecting and real time trend for current collecting. Any area can be enlarged and each item can be switched. Maximum 16 graphs can be displayed at once.

- Action DxpLOGGER execute custom logic per specified time or intervals and writing various process, such as heartbeat signal, value of increment, decrement, fixed and time. Value of tag also can be written to another tag.

- Various sub-function DxpLOGGER features sub-function as below. -Auto-execute feature of logging on start-up -Check-up feature of current logging or monitoring status -Security features that can limit the operation function for each user.

2 Configuration

2.1 System Configuration DxpLOGGER system configuration is as shown below.

-A single server supports multiple PLCs. -Remote connection from a separate node to OPC server possible -Whether local PC or remote, destination of data can be specified.

Page 7: DeviceXPlorer Data Logger ユーザーズガイド- Use of OPC (Supported OPCUA,OPCDA2.05 ) OPC is standard interface specification for communication, so you can access to the data
