Thurs: Investigation• Read 1 Peter 1.13-25 once.
• Write some notes answering the questions:
1.13-25: What are the three main commands in
the passage (it will help to read in more than
one translation and compare them to see the
main verbs)?
1.13-25: Each command has a number of
reasons for it and results that are to come from
it. Ponder on paper how the commands, the
reasons, and the results relate to each other.
• Pray for a ministry at Zion using this passage.
Fri: More Investigation• Read 1 Peter 1.13-25 once.
• Write some notes answering the question:
1.13-25: There is at least one quote or allusion to
the OT in each of the three parts. Look up these
cross-references and ponder how those passages
relate to 1 Peter as much as you can in the time
you have.
• Pray for the way we as Zion can exemplify the
message of this passage to Lincoln and in the world.
Sat: Proclamation• Read 1 Peter 1.13-25 once.
• Sum up your devotional week by writing a
sentence or two about this passage’s message, as
though you were explaining it to someone.

Spirit’s help in where and how to obey it.
