Export Control Warning

- DEXTool has been developed in order to be compliant to Italian Government regulations and guidelines related to export control. All intangible controlled transfers made through DEXTool are tracked in the registry as requested by Italian Government (Ministero AffariEsteri and Ministero Sviluppo Economico).

- Export Control Regulations of other Countries are currently not managed by DEXTool.

- N.B.: the “Non export controlled file transfer” feature could be used in case of transfer of controlled data inside national borders (Italy in case of Military Jurisdiction, EU in case of dual use data) BUT the user has the duty to report in the subject and in the message the tag and markings, ref. “ITCRD 001 IT - Data Markings and Legends”, relative to the control regime of the document, the program to which it belongs and all other information useful to the recipient to determine possible export control constraints.

Security Warning

- Dextool has been designed to exchange every type of file needed by AvioAero users to do their job, including executable / script files as .exe, .msi, .js, .dll, .jar and alike

- It’s users’ responsibility to be careful in what is being exchanged.

- AvioAero users must be very careful when exchanging executable files

- Be always sure that the source is trustworthy

- In case of doubt contact the Cyber Security Office of your Company.

Known Problems

• Trying to login the app, an internal server error message is shown– ignore error, insert again credential and click on «login»

• Login was succesful but a blank page is presented– Close the browser and execute again the login procedure

• A transfer (both controlled and non-controlled) issues an errore message– Special characters (such as °, §, $, &, %, ?, *, \, /, #, @, ~, +, =, comma character, parentheses

characters) in the fine name as well as file names longer than 50 characters may cause a download error. Please avoid special characters and limit file name length.

• Export Controlled Transfer: error «error retrieving new card Bad Request» while searching a tagged item– Ignore the error, click on «Ok» and search again the item

• Error in inviting an external user: the invite button show a message in redlike «com.primeur….»: ignore error message

Known Problems

• Error in inviting an external user: the invite button show a message in red of the kind «Account management error executing …»– Tipically this error occurs when a file was sent to external recipients prior having invited them. Currently this is an

unrecoverable error (a persistent lock in the DB is set, there is no possibility to delete the user and create him again). To avoid this error is mandatory to invite external users before to send them files.

• Transferred File Size: we experienced troubles in sending files bigger than 300MB. This is issue is currently unresolved. Big files should be broken in smaller ones using utilities as WinZip or 7zip and transferring each part singularly.

Requests

Use this function to invite an external user to join DEXTool. You will be the recipient’s sponsor

• In «Main Menu» select «No export controlled transfer»

• In the menu bar select «Requests», then press on

• Then fill in the displayed form

Insert recipient’s name, surname,company and e-mail

Insert also the reason of the request.

Then click on «Invite»

A notification mail will be sent to the recipient.The mail contains a link to a web page in which the external usercan insert her/his own password (see next password for instruction)

Export Control Warning AvioAero Users

If pXchange is used to transfer documents subjected to Italian, EU or US export control regulations the transaction has to be manually tracked in the Intangible Transfer Registry

pXchange has specifically been designed to exchange data with Pratt & Withney Canada, so it is subjected to CAAs.

• Select the drawings to be sent. Be surefiles are named as requested by PWC. In case manually change the filename

• It’s possible to select more than onefile

• The system checks– the file format (PDF) – the filename must contain only

alphanumeric chars: lowercase and uppercase chars and numbers, no spacesand special chars allowed.

• When finished press «Continue» button

• PDF Drawing: filename must be formatted as «drawing number»_«revision letter».pdf

• E.g.: 12345678_A.pdf

In the «Info» field insert info for PWC about the PDF drawing (double click to open the field)

Then press on «Continue» button and then «Ok»

• In the same transfer it’s possible to send more than (even if with different extensions)
