Market  GuidelinesThank  you  for  your  interest  in  participating  in  the  Douglass  Farmers’  Market.    The  following  guidelines  are  intended  to  make  the  market  pleasant  and  sustainable  for  everyone  involved.

General

● Vendors  must  attend  one  of  the  mandatory  orientation  sessions  (see  above  dates).  These  will  take  place  at  the  site  of  the  farmers’  market.

● Vendors  must  display  a  sign  identifying  the  name  and  location  of  the  business  as  well  as  other  signs  related  to  Food  Assistance  (EBT,  DUFB,  Project  FRESH).

● Vendors  are  required  to  bring  their  own  tables.  Tents  are  also  the  vendors’  responsibility  and  cannot  be  larger  than  11’  X  11’.  They  must  be  staked  to  the  ground  or  weighted  for  safety  reasons  and  are  subject  to  approval  by  the  Fire  Marshall.

● The  Douglass  Farmers’  Market  strives  to  provide  clear  information  about  methods  and  practices  involved  in  growing  and  producing  food.  We  ask  that  vendors  be  prepared  to  provide  this  information  to  customers  about  their  products  as  needed.

● Vendors  with  vehicles  (parked  inside  the  market)  are  expected  to  be  set  up  by  2:30pm;  vendors  who  will  unload  and  park  should  be  set  up  by  2:45pm.

● Vendors  must  sell  only  produce  or  products  that  they  grow,  create,  or  prepare,  or  services  they  provide.  Resale  of  local  growers’  produce  is  allowed,  as  long  as  the  vendor  is  familiar  with  the  growing  and  pest  management  methods  of  the  additional  farm  and  communicates  this  information  clearly  to  customers.  No  wholesale  or  brokered  items  will  be  allowed.
