Addendum One Dated 7/10/2013

The documents are changed as follows;

1. Section 1 – Instruction to Bidders – Bid Date Thursday, July 18th, 2013 at 3pm. This is changed from 11:00 am.

2. Bid Forms, Page 2 of 30 states that the Deadline for Questions is 7/10/2013 at 4 pm; this is changed to Friday, July 12th, at 1 pm. All questions should still be forwarded to Carlos House at [email protected]

3. During the Pre-bid meeting, Bonds were stated as not required, this was in reference to Bid Security. Payment and Performance bonds are required on the bid form. If a contractor or subcontractor cannot provide bonds at this time then that line in the Bid Form should be left blank. TOH and DFW will work with contractors to help them become bondable in the future through the NICI / DFW Insurance education and assistance program.

4. Bidding contractors are encouraged to visit and register on the Turner Construction Company prequalification website http://www.turnerconstruction.com/sub-contractors to expedite the contract award. This is not a requirement for bidding.

5. The MBE paperwork requirements have caused confusion among many previous bidders. Bidding contractors are encouraged to contact Carol Stephens (See PowerPoint slides) for questions or concerns about the MBE process and reminded that the 25% MBE level is a goal and not a mandatory requirement but that GFE (Good Faith Effort) documentation is required when subcontracting opportunities are available if the goal is not achieved. GFE documentation is not required only when no subcontracting opportunities are available.
