DIABETES EDUCATOR’S GUIDE
Three Important Questions:• Are you working in a DSME program that is not receiving
Medicare reimbursement?
• Do you want to prove that your high-quality program is evidence-based?
• Do you want to join over 5,000 sites that meet the National Standards of Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then AADE’s Diabetes Education Accreditation Program (DEAP) is the perfect choice for you and your program.
Why choose AADE?• Only association dedicated solely to diabetes educators
• Superior customer service and technical support
• Accreditation in as little as four weeks
Pricing Structure:
Get started today and visit www.diabeteseducator.org/accreditation or email us at [email protected] for more information.
Developing or operating a DSME program requires more than just an understanding of the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support. What about reimbursement and documentation? How does one write and follow-up on behavioral goals or CQI plans?
Based on these common obstacles to a successful program, AADE developed a live, one-day workshop: Building Your Diabetes Education Program- Everything You Need to Know and More.
This workshop covers the most frustrating pain points that program managers encounter while building their programs:
• Comprehensive review of the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support
• Reimbursement and documentation
• Setting SMART goals
• Live chart auditing to help you develop your own charting requirements
• Breaking down the CQI process
• Marketing and Sustainability
Attendees can network and brainstorm innovative ways to improve their practices all while earning 6 CE. Anyone looking to start or improve a diabetes education problem is invited to attend!
Did you know… 100% of the programs that attended in2014 and applied for accreditation were successful!
