The client, a couple with three children, had different ideas for what they wanted their home to be. The husband was drawn to modern interiors, while the wife was partial to French country style. The challenge was to reconcile these two visions into a single harmonious design.

color pencil
rendering
I like rendering. The first time I used the colored pencil, I thought it was a waste of time. But after learning the skill, I appreciated its visual texture, the comfortable feeling of the pencil in my hand, the ability to erase, the ease of control, and the ability to mix colors.

rendering
I love watercolor because of its of challenges and oportunities. Little brushes can be used to add detail. Big brushes can be used to grade large areas. It requires a lot of attention, but can be used to represent any material. It is very effective for showing reflections. And it saves money. It is a way to render accurately without using computer software.
