    HEIMEIER Hydrolux is a proportionalworking, p-band controlled overflowvalve with low proportional deviation.

    Body made of corrosion-resistant gun-metal with threads according toDIN 2999.

    Direct setting scale display.

    Highest reaction precision due to aninner setting value spring with generousdimensions, made of special steel.

    Low friction central valve disc guide.

    Progressive setting, secured againstunauthorised adjustment. Setting range50500 mbar. Adjusted on the operatingside and preset to 200 mbar.

    Models NW 20 to NW 32.

    Female thread connections on the in-coming side; female thread or flat sealinglockshield on the out going side.

    Description

    HEIMEIER Hydrolux is used in warm waterpump heating systems. The current outputof the circulating pump changes accor-ding to the heating load and operating

    condition of a heating system. Dependingon the characterization of the pumpcharacteristic line, a decrease in currentoutput causes an increase in the outputrate. In addition, the pressure loss in thepipe network decreases, creating the pos-

    sibility of an oversupply and noise build-upin parts of the system.

    The Hydrolux overflow valve prevents an

    undesirable increase in the output rateand ensures that the current outputremains constant.

    For gas fired wall mounted heatingsystems, the minimum circulating waterlevel is guaranteed. We particularly recom-

    mend that an overflow valve be usedwhen the maximum output rate is signifi-cantly greater than the set opening pres-sure.

    To improve the effect of the overflowvalve, the bypass connection should be setup in a current-efficient way, or in such away that pressure loss is low, i. e. as shortas possible, with generous dimensions andwithout unnecessary individual resistances.

    The p-band which applies when theheating system is in full operationis set on the overflow valve.

    When the current output is reduced, thevalve opens, causing the output rate ofthe circulating pump to remain constant

    within a proportional band necessary forcontrol purposes.

    Mineral oils in the heat transfer mediumor lubricants containing mineral oils ofany type lead to strong swelling and inmost cases cause EPDM seals to fail.

    When using nitrite-free frost andcorrosion-resistance solutions with anethylene glycol base, pay close attentionto the details outlined in the manu-facturers documentation, particularlydetails concerning concentration andspecific additives.
