FRONT PAGE READY FOR ACTION:

Our project team

inspected the Very Big

Hole this week as early

works contractor

Donnelly prepares to

hand over to AW

Edwards.

They are good sports -

they didn’t mind doing

their best boy band pose

for the camera! Now we

just need a name…

As for those walls that

dominate the early

works site, they are

about 10 metres high, or

the height of two

giraffes (see below).

RISING LIKE A PHOENIX: Nothing

stops our Stage 2 projects at Mount

Druitt, not even the Eurovision

Song Contest.

Thanks to Karen, Michelle, Trish,

Anne, Therese and Belinda from

Palliative Care, and Luke from 2B

for getting into the spirit.

Just so you know, Eurovision only

allows six performers on stage, and

Australia is not officially part of

Europe yet (though we hear there’s

a vacancy coming up). Aussies have

no regard for rules!

HAPPY NURSES DAY

POINTY END SEA OF COLOUR

GO WITH THE FLO: We

have lots of nurses working

on the BMDH Project

including these familiar

faces. Robyn, David and

Jenny have more than 100

years nursing experience

between them, so your

Stage 2 projects are in VERY

safe hands.

You can see their Nurses

Day message on our

Facebook page.

International Nurses Day is

held on 12 May every year

and honours Florence

Nightingale, who was born

on this day in 1820.

ON THE FENCE: Mount Druitt Hospital child care team

members Jessica and Melissa say the kids love the new

coloured fence mesh around the community dialysis

building that adjoins their play area. The pictures were

created by the Supernovas and Comets from the centre

to brighten up the playground.

SHOT IN THE ARM: These

brave souls from Blacktown

Hospital have had their flu

shots. Have you? Check the

staff intranet for dates and

locations.

DECLUTTER DAY We know an office can’t be totally

paper-free, but it can be paper

independent. Our B2Hub teams have

been making an effort to scan and store,

file to HPRM, and really think about

whether they need to keep that piece of

paper.

This week the teams decluttered,

packed their team storage and reviewed

their stationery, further reducing their

reliance on paper as we move towards

the IT-enabled B2Hub environment.

Left, Bel, Xioli, Abe and Jonathan tackle

the clutter.

B2 Builder-approved chat booth.

Dr Evil in a Chris Chair. Sorry, we

mean Chris in a Dr Evil chair. The chairs

are acoustically insulated so you can

chat or take a call in private, even in a

busy work environment.

B2HUB QUICK LOOK: Having a peek at IT being installed for the group work

table. If you would like to see for yourself, come to the Open House on

Thursday 25 May. Flier attached.
