WHAT ARE METHODS AND PROTOCOLS?Methods and Protocols are ways in how we access and see the media in todays generation and how they potentially can effect us in the future...

EXAMPLES OF PROTOCOLS...Protocols are a format of data sent over the internet. This can be done be sending messages called packets which are arranged for the right piece of technology. The following are the best known examples of protocols:

.Broadband

.3G/4G

.GPRS

.Bluetooth

.IP

A PROTOCOL IN  DETAIL...(3G/4G)4G is the fourth generation of wireless mobile telecommunications technology, succeeding 3G. True 3G systems such as EV-DO, W-CDMA (including HSPA) provide combined circuit switched and packet switched data and voice services from the outset, usually at far better data rates than 2G networks with their extensions. (Wikipedia) All of these services can be used to provide combined mobile voice access and Internet access at remote locations. 4G networks provide even higher bitrates and many architectural improvements, which are not necessarily visible to the consumer.  Personally, I use 4G in my everyday life while being out and about and being able to access the internet and social media on the go.

A METHOD IN DETAIL...(E-MAIL)Definition- "Messages distributed by electronic means from one computer user to one or more recipients via a network."

Email is important because it creates a fast, reliable form of communication that is free and easily accessible. ... It is not characterized by the inconveniences that are generally associated with traditional communication media, such as telephone or postal mail. Emails can be helpful for companies as it's an easier way to contact other companies. The whole concept of Emails were to make it quicker and more helpful and that’s definitely what Emails have done. I use Emails from time to time when it comes to student work, but I hardly use it as a messaging service when there's Facebook and Twitter for example.

THE FUTURE...(WEB 3.0)Humans are just starting to explore what the internet has to offer with how we live our life's and its just a matter of time before we live off the online world. Web 3.0 is described as the next stage of the internet with Web 1.0 gone and currently in Web 2.0. Samples of Web 3.0 are starting to be shown though with now Google being able to guess what you're going to search before you have finished. This shows that the internet is getting smarter and smarter by the day.
