The Digital Quantitative Metallography is currently one of the most important tools

to analysis of microstructure materials. All metallurgists around the world depend

on not only knowledge but also tools that help them to develop their analysis.

Digimet Plus 5G was developed by Metallurgists and Brazilian Researchers to a

precise and effective analysis of alloy images, polymers, ceramic and composite

materials, emphasizing the application in the area of Quantitative Metallography,

Heat Treatments, Surface Treatments, Welding, among others.

Developed to attend all work platform of images analysis and not only restrict to

Quantitative Metallography, but also can be used for Microscopy as well as

Stereoscopes, Webcams, Smart Cameras, CMOS Digital Cameras, VGA CCD

Analog Cameras and all other image capture resource.

Scheduled Modules

The software has a series of ready modules already pre-programmed for implementation of image

digital quantification, however when the customer has specific needs of developing modules that are not

foreseen in the Software, MIPS possess a prepared development team to develop new modules that fit

the customer's need.

Auxiliary Routines - Tools

Selecting particles in an area and getting the individual information that particle.

Include a stage on the image, you are cleared to input the stage on what ever image you whant and use any kind of unit of measure. (Also know as Digital Scale)

Zoom Tool, it allow you the enlarge the image to see all the details that you cannot see with the 1:1 image. This digital zoom allow you to go from 2x to 36x.

Threshold: Increase or decrease your threshold so you can have the most accurately results on the analisys Histogram: Check the break even point on grayscale at your image Clean Image: You can remove particles that must to be be not consider on the analisys Merge Image: Merge the imagens on above the another Crop: Select just the area on your image that you whant to see the results Inverse: Reverse the image colors Preto e Branco: Set´s teh saturation to 0 and put the image on fully grayscale

Innovation System in Volume Phase

Usually the software that make this function, have only two methods of

determining phases, light phase and dark phase, and so you can determine the

volume of stages of their material, but Digimet possess a unique tool that allows

you to find up to 255 stages within the same material, opening up a huge range

of possibilities for function, and all this according to ASTM E 562 standard.

Working with Cast Iron

The system has two integrated standards that can be selected from your

deployment, so they are used as a reference in the results of Cast Iron. ASTM A

247 and ISO 945. Within the Routine Integrated Cast Iron Analysis, the analyst

will have complete information about all your stuff, from the capture of a single

image or a set of images.

Identifying Particles

Selecting particles in an area and getting the individual information that particle.

• SAE 1020 Steel - Inclusion Non-Metallic

• ASTM E45

By clicking on the particle you will get the

information on it with the following variables:

Image Area Represented , Ferret (High

Particle Size), Perimeter and Roundness

(Sphericity particle)

Images Grouping

Because of the need to accelerate analysis process, MIPS developed a method of grouping images, in

other words, it allows you to group two or more images, and get the result in accordance with the

selected module for both images, allowing the access to individual and collective results with average

and other statistical references.

* Collective Results

Making reports with Images

The Software Digimet Plus 5G possess a default report in Microsoft Excel that could have its header

changed by the customer if necessary.

After report generate, the analyst may include relevant information to those results and metallographic analysis in the report and saved, or just copy the images according to your need.
