Here are examples of an existing album and poster advertising Adele's Album 'ADELE21'. This is where I researched the design of my poster & digi-pack based on the layout, colours, font and images that are shown in an existing poster. This will enable me to incorporate the existing design into my own idea for my digi-pack and poster designs. As you can see the album cover and back cover are both covered with an image of the artist (Adele). The artists facial expressions are very deep as well as neutral/ relaxed this could send the audience messages of feeling deep and relaxed and this could be shown through the songs on the album. There are not many colours used and the only colours used are black, white and light green. The black and white could be a way of emphasising her emotions in the images and the green highlights the number 21 which could make the audience aware of which album it is. Also the layout of the album is very simple but yet effective as it portrays a mature appearance. Title Barcode Song numbers Title at the side of the album Barcode Websites Copyright information

Here are examples of an existing album and poster advertising Adele's Album 'ADELE21'. This is where I researched the design of my poster &

digi-pack based on the layout, colours, font and images that are shown in an existing poster. This will enable me to incorporate the existing

design into my own idea for my digi-pack and poster designs.

As you can see the album cover and back cover are

both covered with an image of the artist (Adele). The

artist’s facial expressions are very deep as well as

neutral/ relaxed this could send the audience

messages of feeling deep and relaxed and this could

be shown through the songs on the album.

There are not many colours

used and the only colours

used are black, white and

light green. The black and

white could be a way of

emphasising her emotions in

the images and the greenhighlights the number ‘21’

which could make the

audience aware of which

album it is. Also the layout of

the album is very simple but

yet effective as it portrays a

mature appearance.

Large font for the main

title, this is to make the

reader aware of what the

poster is trying to

advertise in this case

Adele’s album ‘ADELE21’

Image of album cover

shows the audience

what they need to

look for when buying

the album.

Information about the availability

of album; as you can see the poster

informs the audience about where

the album can be bought.

Record label logo and copyright

information. This is very important on an

advertisement poster as it shows that the

poster is no illegal and has to beconfirmed by the record labels. Also

copyright is important as anyone can

copy the poster and use it off as their

own which is illegal and has not been

designed or paid for by them unless

permitted by the record labels and

companies involved with making of the

poster and album.

Image of artist on poster

as well as album shows

the audience what the

artist looks like and

based on her facialexpressions this portrays

the emotions of her

music in her album.

My opinion

Based on my first impression of seeing the album cover and

poster, I feel that they both

portray a very emotional and sad

feel. Also the use of grey and

black and white for both the

album and poster this may imply

that most of Adele’s songs on

the album (ADELE21) are very

have strong emotional meanings.

Although the use of light ‘green’

may imply a calm and respectful

emotion, because the colour

green is a very calm &

respectable colour and is not too

striking which blends well with

the black and white theme. It is

enough to emphasise the parts

album and poster but is also

subtle at the same time.
