Using our primary sourced images I have created a rough first draft of the digipak layout. Here I have only used images to assess which pictures fit well with the overall folk/singer-songwriter genre. As I haven’t used Adobe Photoshop in a long time experimenting with the various tools available, developed my understanding of the software

Digipak development: 1. Select our favorite photographs. 2. Chose a colour scheme for the font. 3. Use similar or exact typography for all media products i.e. magazine advert and billboard

poster for cohesiveness. 4. Include important labels such as UPC code and copyright information.

For the second draft it was important that the overall design seemed professional and neat. Here I have included important text, a pink font colour scheme, a disk cover design and a few different images. WWW: The positioning of the text, for example the album title was based on Tom Odell’s ‘Long Way Down’ digipak and worked well with the front cover image. Cohesive font design. Selection of images which creates a ‘mellow’ vibe. Clear positioning of important information e.g. UPC code. EBI: Rethink use of a pink font colour scheme as the other media products feature blue typography. Clearer font.

For the third and forth drafts only slight adjustments were made to our choice of photographs and colouring. Melina also created a new ep front cover.
