Making your First Book

Touch “+” in right hand corner of Noteshelf Page

The “Create” screen appears. Choose “Customize Notebook.”

Customize Notebook Screen 1. Name your Book

2. Choose your Paper (Scroll for choices)

Suggest Landscape Wide Rule (will discuss Custom Pages later)

3. Choose a cover Scroll for choices

4. Touch “Create” (upper right corner)

Book will now appear in your bookshelf. Click on it and open it.

Your First Page once you open the book Spine (navigation) is on the left; we will create books with spine at the top later.

Custom Sheets – Create your own Create your own and email to your iPad as a PDF or Word doc

OR on NAWGJWA website, click on pdf, and open in Noteshelf.

Open your email on your iPad (or on pdf on a website). When the pdf opens, hold finger on the pdf and the dialog box will pop up - open in Noteshelf

When it opens in Noteshelf, it will look similar to this.

How to import a Word Document You need to have a Gmail account to do the following: Send a Word Doc to your email (any email account). Open that email on iPad. Touch the Word Document and Open it in Noteshelf. You will get the message below. Sign into your Gmail acount.

On your bookshelf, the newest book you just imported from your email is here.

Hold down on new pdf – click “edit” icon.

Give the book a name and cover. Click “done.”

Back on your bookshelf, click on the new book you just made to open it.

Tip – “FIND” If you type a gymnasts’ number, or the team name, you can later do a search.

Go to Page Finder > Filter > type in name The page with the name or number will be selected. This only works with typed names or numbers.

Make a “Group” Touch a book and pull it quickly to hover over another book until they join. Click the edit icon to get to the “Group Settings” – name the group and color code.

TAG a Routine

To tag a routine – example “Best Leap”

In Settings> “Tags”> Add tag – label it

Then in Page finder> hit Filter >click the tag you want

It will find the page you want with the tag on it.

How to change the page width of a Word document to better fit iPad judging

Create your document in Word

Choose Page Layout

Choose “Size”

Scroll to bottom to “more paper sizes”

Change the width to 12”

Importing Winnie’s Sheets from her website (PNG’s)

Create New Book

Scroll through Paper choices until you see “Custom”

Select blank sheet

Will take you to photo album

You may need to rotate the picture 90°…experiment!

Or from her webpage on www.nawgjwa.com – import her pdf’s - it’s easier.

Format book (use with Winnie’s png images if you want navigation on left. (Navigation will be on top if you use her PDF’s and you won’t need these settings.)

Go to Settings

Choose “Orientation Settings”

Check “Lock in Landscape Spine Up”

Select the down arrow (next to current notebook name)

Select the ‘+’ sign next to Add Notebook
