Introducing a Whiter White: Digital MWW
• Specifically designed for optimized white ink laydown– High Opacity– Low Mottle– Brighter Over-Print Colors
• Ink Savings– Enables one pass process rather than two
white ink stations
• Can be used with the full Digital MWW Package for full ink transfer optimization– Digital MWW– LUX Lamination– Membrane 200– Specific Tape– Specific Screening

Print Trial Measurements
• Mottle: Refers to an uneven coloration resulting from printing on porous or uneven substrates, primarily in the solids areas. In this case, mottle was measured with a BetaPro 3.
• Opacity: Refers to the extent to which a printed ink will permit or prevent the transmission of light through it. In this case, opacity was measured with an X-rite Exact Spectrophotometer.
• White Ink Lightness: Measured with X-rite Exact Spectrophotometer
• Spot Color Solid Ink Density: Measured with X-rite Exact Spectrophotometer

Key Takeaways from Print Trial
• The WhiteFx configuration outperformed the standard plate setup in all cases
• The optimal result recorded with the Digital MWW package was:– Mottle: 0.35– Opacity: 65.2– Lightness: 82
• This compares favorably to that of 1.5 mil White Poly that typically records measurements of: – Mottle: 0.12– Opacity: 82– Lightness: 90
Requirements for Package
• Digital MWW Printing Plate• LUX Lamination with Membrane 200• 4000 dpi Imaging Capability• WhiteFx Screen Set (provided with Integration Package)• Proper Mounting Tape (Recommendations provided with Integration
Package)
