DESK TOP PUBLISHING

• What is desk top publishing?

Answer: Is a way of creating reports, advertisements and printed stuff, however it is

done on a special software. You also have the power to make your own layouts and

play around with it to create the publishing you want.

Desk top publishing was introduced in 1983.

LITHOGRAPHY

• Lithography is an ancient way of

printing, reason being it was used was

technology wasn’t as developed as it is

now. Lithography is still used in the

21st century for books and stones. It

was mainly discovered in 1796.

• They used to create lithography using

oil, fat, or wax on a limestone plate.

OFFSET LITHOGRAPHY

• Offset lithography is a modern way of

using lithography its self.

• It’s well known as a printing technique

and its made with a plate to a rubber

blanket, then to the printing surface.

• It was found in 1875.

LETTER PRESSLetter press is a way of creating

creative words to look appealing. It can

be in various colours and the process is

using ink, press the paper against it to

divert the ink. It was found in the 15th

century until the 19th.

LASER PRINTING & PHOTOCOPIES

This is an example of a modern photocopier,

this is new way of making more and more of

paper it’s modern and seen as easier to use.

Its known to make paper “quickly and cheap.
