1. FIRST download the AVS converter from www.avs4you.com Click download (big sign on right of page) and instal the AVS converter onto your

computer.(If you don’t want to install this onto your computer you can use the bar at the top and

complete the conversion on-line if you wish. I did not do it this way however)2. NEXT go into URL: www.youddl.com (this is a file converter)

Minimise the screen.3. NOW go into youtube.com, do a search for the Victorian bushfire video you want

to use. Once you find it, double click the video you want to use.Once you double click, the video should open up large and there should be its unique

URL in the address bar at the top of the web window.COPY this URL address

4. NOW maximise the youddl.com screen and PASTE the Victorian bushfire video URL into the box and click DOWNLOAD.

Now blue words come up asking which format to save as: FLV or MP4 and download. CLICK DOWNLOAD beside MP4

Next it asks whether to open or save. 5. CLICK SAVE. Navigate so that you save the file onto your desktop and give it a

name you will recognise.6. Once it is saved BROWSE for it using the AVS file converter and resave it as an

AVI file. (If you look it will have AVI on the icon once it has been saved)7. You can now copy or drag the file onto your memory stick so that you can use it at

school on the computers. This AVI file can be imported into moviemaker. Don’t forget to copy the file into your movies folder before you import it.
