Digital Video Script

Video Clip 2 Narration

Would you like to discover an easy way to assess your students? Would you like to give your students immediate feedback? Would you like to have the assessment graded for you? Well help is on the way. We are going to look at creating an assessment in ActivInspire.

First lets open ActivInspire Choose the type of assessment you want to give. We are creating a multiple choice assessment.

Click on Insert and then questions Click in the space provided to begin typing your questions. You can change the test type for each question, but we are going to leave ours

on multiple choice.

Now insert your answer choices, making sure to select the correct answerVideo Clip 10 Narration

Scroll down and choose Replace the page content with a new design. Choose how you want the question to look on the promethean board. If you do not do this, the page will just be a white background with words

which is not very appealing.


Now click on Apply at the bottom of the page. We have just created the first question of our assessment.


Go to the top of the page and click the arrow to turn the page We can now repeat the process to insert as many questions as needed Remember to change the page design for each question. When you are finished inserting questions, click Done at the bottom of the

page.


Save your assessment by clicking File Save As Choose your file destination

Name your file Click Save


Hover over the browser on the left side of the screen Select the picture of the remote Select the class that will be taking the assessment Assign the remotes to your students


Click the Play button on the right to allow student to begin voting. You will know when the students have answered because their name will

turn yellow


When the voting is complete, a graph will appear This allows you to see how the class did. You can give feedback at this point. There are many graph options to view. (show) If you do not want the graph to appear, you can change these settings on the

browser on the left side of the screen.

Now close the graph and turn the page. Repeat the process for the students to answer question 2.


When the assessment is complete, hover over the browser again. Click on Results Broswer Click Export ActivInspire will save a spreadsheet of student results and grades to your

computer.

Just name the file, choose the destination, and click save.Video Clip 23 Narration

The spreadsheet will open to show a summary of the results. We can view the results by question or by student The assessment is already graded

Open a new flipchart Click on Insert and then question Choose the type of assessment Insert your questions and answer choices following the same procedure as

before.

Here you can choose the level of each question as well.

Now instead of changing the page for each question, we will type everyquestion on this same page.

When all questions are inserting, click apply and done.Video Clip 29 Narration

As you can see, the title page is blank I type directions for my students here.Video Clip 32 Narration Press the play button to allow students to begin taking the assessment The students will not see the questions on the board this time. The questions and answer choices will be on the remotes themselves. We are using ActivExpressions for this assessment. On the self-paced exam, the graph option does not apply. When the assessment is done, follow the same steps to send the results to

your computer.
