We continue to offer our most successful multimedia special event for students in preschool through 4th grade–Having Fun with Fossils & Dinosaurs. Dressed for digging and protected by a pith helmet, intrepid fossil hunter Paulette Morin introduces students to the wonders of our prehistoric past and dinosaurs. The presenta-tion touches on the who, what, where and when of dinosaurs and includes storytelling, information on how to find fossils, and more than 100 fossil specimens for children to examine. Ms. Morin’s enthusiasm for dinosaurs and fossil hunting is inspiring a new generation of young scientists to see what wonders lurk beneath the soil and in the rock ledges of our region.
This program includes:
o Storytelling, using a 5 foot tall storybook
o Information on how to find fossils
o 100 fossil specimens for children to examine
o Follow-up activity sheets for reproduction
o Adaptation for science level of each group
