Pedagogical Responsibilities Means: Ways of Teaching Children & Theory of Teaching.

Educators & Teachers teach children in many ways and that is what we want to celebrate.

For example: Children learn when a teacher sits close to them and makes eye contact with

them and reads a story to them. Stopping to check in with the children and asking the

children if they understand the meaning of new words.

Then the teacher relates the new topic to something the child already knows. “Alex do you

remember when we found a snail in the garden. And the snail left a silver trail along the path?

“Well in this story the snail climbed a tree and the child was able to see the silver trail it left

behind”. Then the teacher can share these new words and topics with families and the teacher

could write out the new words and display these words and set up a play experience and use

these words in conversations each day. Children can extend their vocabulary and making brain

connections when they are immersed in rich language environments. Children are safe and

cocooned in a learning environment with their teacher.

Discovery Learning is when the teacher shows the children where to find ants in the garden. Then

extends their learning by asking probing questions, where do ants live? What do they eat? Where

can we go to find more information about ants from?

Teacher directed learning is used to target specific skills, like jumping or learning how to count to

10.

Know and implement the Early Years Learning Framework in your program and records, including

3A approach to learning and development.
