Criminology involves the study of the complex issues of crime and criminal justice. Criminologists work in federal and state justice agencies such as research and statistics institutes, police and courts. Correctional authorities also employ criminologists as researchers, assessors and policy advisers whilst others are in private practice providing consulting services for law reform, justice, forensic psychology, behavioural science, or crime statistics. Griffith College, through its association with Griffith University, teach a well- designed and flexible program which is primarily a pathway to Griffith, well- matched to the syllabus and clearly informed by industry and research.
