Directions to Germain Arena

Germain Arena 11000 Everblades Parkway

Estero, FL From the North: Take I-75 to Exit 128 (Alico Road).

Head East on Alico Road to Ben Hill Griffin Parkway. Take Ben Hill Griffin for approximately 3.5 miles south. The Arena is located on the right-hand side.

From the South: Take I-75 to Exit 123 (Corkscrew Road). Head East on Corkscrew Road. Take Ben Hill Griffin north and the Arena is located on the left-hand side.

Faculty Instructions: Parking

Follow the enclosed directions to Germain Arena and plan to arrive at 12 noon but no later than 12:30 pm.

Please display your VIP pass on the windshield of your vehicle for easy identification by parking attendants

You will be directed to the VIP parking on the south side of the arena (see parking area small font on the map)

Enter on the south side of the arena under the green awning

Faculty Instructions: Robing

Ushers will direct you upstairs for robing. There is an elevator and bathroom facilities adjacent to the robing area.

There will be a light lunch for you and a secure area for your belongings during the ceremony.

Around 1:00pm you will be led downstairs for the Processional.

Faculty Instructions: Processional

Ushers will direct you to line-up by college in the North corridor around the NW entrance to the arena floor.

The college marshals will march preceding their respective college faculty colleagues.

The marshals and faculty will process down the north side of the arena and then up the center aisle of the arena floor

College Marshals shall proceed past the University Marshal and hand off their College flags to the ushers before being seated in the reserved section.

Faculty will be seated by college in the south column (section B, slide 10) of seating at the head of the master’s candidates.

The platform party will follow the faculty in the processional and will be the last to be seated.

Faculty Instructions: Awarding of Degrees

As each College’s candidates receive their diploma covers, they will be directed to the photo area and then to a faculty greeting line before returning to their seats (as we do at Alico).

Ushers will prompt you when to rise, where to position your greeting line, and when to return to your seats.

You will be asked to do this twice: once for the master’s candidates and later for the bachelor’s candidates.

Faculty Instructions: Recessional

When the platform party has left the stage, you will be directed by the ushers to rise and follow the platform party out.

From there, if necessary, faculty can return to the robing area to change, collect valuables, etc., before exiting the building.

There will be no post-ceremony reception.
