Uganda travel documents may only be held by citizens of Uganda. They are processed and issued only by Government of Uganda through the Directorate of Immigration Control (DCIC) and at three Ugandan Missions abroad: Washington DC (United States of America), London (United Kingdom) and Pretoria (Republic of South Africa).

REQUIREMENTS FOR A NEW PASSPORT APPLICATION. 1. Fully filled formsA andB, dully endorsed by Local Council

1,2,3, DISO and RDC;2. Covering letter from Employer/School/Parents/ Guardian or

person well known to the applicant addressed to the Passport ControlOfficer;

3. Photocopy and original identification documents e.g.NationalID,VotersCard,BirthCertificates,SchoolCertificate,Residential ID, Baptism Card or Employer’s Card;

4. Recommendation from a citizen of Uganda of good repute. She/he shall provide you with a copy of his/her ID or Passport;

5. Proof of payment of prescribed fees (UGX 150,000 normal applications, or UGX 300,000 for Express applications);

6. Any other information as may be required by the Passport ControlOfficer.
