Assistant Professor Rutgers University

An opening is available for a tenure track faculty position in molecular biology at the Department of Biological Sciences, Rutgers University-Newark Campus. Applicants with major interests in immunology or virology are especially encouraged to apply. At least three years of postdoctoral experience is required. This position carries a light teaching load commensurate with a major research effort. Excellent start-up funding opportunities are available. Please send a brief description of research interests and plans, curric- ulum vitae and three letters of recommendation to: Dr. Harvey H. Feder Chairman, Department of Biological Sciences Rutgers University 101 Warren Street Newark, New Jersey 07102. Deadllne for appllcationr: January 31,1988.

Rutgers University is an Equal Opporhmity/ Afirmative Action Empioywr.

Postdoctoral Position Yale University

A postdoctoral position is available immediately to join a multidisciplinary group studying a recently identified and cloned peptide hormone. This peptide is produced by selected normal and malignant cells and has certain parathyroid hormone-like actions and a limited PTH-like sequence. Its normal distribution and function are unknown. The specific project will involve studying the control of the expression of this hormone in normal and malignant cells. A strong background in molecular biology is essential. The initial appointment is for two years at a salary range geared to NIH guidelines and commensurate with experience. Applications should include a curriculum vitae, bibliography, and the names and telephone numbers of three individuals familiar with the candidate’s qualifications. Contact: Dr. Arthur E. Broadus (203) 785-4183 or Dr. Marguerite Mangin (203) 7854488 Endocrine Section, Fitkfn I, Department of Internal Medicine, Yale University, 333 Cedar Street, New Haven, CT 06510.
