There are different places of characters used in movies which involved the use of disability for an emotional or comedy side to a film. Even though this can be effective to the audience it can be disapprove to the audience with a disability. Within films people can use the character for sympathy, comedy or a villain in some movies. This can affect how people see them and how it can be represented. Although many films show different sides to a character with disability this can include with disfigurement of a villain such as The Joker in Batman. As a genre of Action/ Adventure the Joker shows the use of disability but shown in a side of evil. As using the scars and disability towards that character shows a side to becoming a villain. It gives an impact in the genre of Action/ Adventure as they are more used for evil with an emotional back story. On the other hand it can be seen as a comedy side. Giving a new direction to how disability is represented. For example in Nemo the main character has an undeveloped limb. Even though it can be an effective disability it is shown in animation as a Lucky fin showing a good side and may have impact towards children who have this disability. Nemo is a well-known animation of a fish that has an effective back story and how it continued into later life, in a way it gives a change in atmosphere of how undeveloped limb is shown by a villains attack. To give the movie a story line. Within Nemo it shows many characters with different disabilities while implying a cartoon scene targeted towards children. This can improve in a positive environment towards children and how it impacts to them. Lastly the new film A Theory Of Everything shows the main character as an achieving physicist who finds out he has motor neuron disease. The genre shows romance and sort of adventure towards the audience when following though the film to understand how it impacts his life. Throughout the film it gives different areas of how one thing can change everything, which can be direct to the audience when seeing how it follows them. It travels through an emotion area to people and is a powerful movie towards the audience. It shows a positive important life to struggle, but when understanding you can become open and do more than you could. Finally these films all show a disability and each has their own genre within them. For example action/adventure, comedy, romance and guides into different stories from the beginning or within the characters life. Ending that even though disability can be negative it can also be a positive, showing you can still achieve (e.g in The Theory Of Everything)
