Training Calendar Summer 2010 1 Summer 2010 2010 NCSAPPB Election Results I n May and June, the Board held its annual election. The Board received seven nominations for the North Cen- tral region seat and six nominations for the At-Large seat, which is a record response to the call for nominations! The Board appreciates the field’s over- whelming response and encourages your ongoing support and participation. The counselors elected to the Board as a result of this year’s election are Mr. Dale Willetts and Mr. Al Greene. Mr. Willetts is a Certified Criminal Justice Professional and currently serves as the Director of the NC TASC Training Institute. He will replace Mr. Michael Herring on the Board and will be sworn in at the Board’s Annual meeting in July. Mr. Al Greene will continue his service on the Board, serving in the At-Large seat. Mr. Greene, LCAS, CCS, currently serves as the Chair of the Board’s Quality Assurance Com- mittee with the continued goal to serve the Board’s constituency while upholding standards to protect the public. The Board wishes to express its appreciation to Mr. Herring for his seven years of service on the Board. Mr. Herring worked tirelessly as the Chair of the Board’s Standards Com- mittee, helping establish Board rules and policy. Mr. Herring’s attributable service will leave a lasting imprint on the Board and its growth over the past decade. 2010 NCSAPPB Election Results

In May and June, the Board held its annual election.  The Board received

seven nominations for the North Cen-tral region seat and six nominations for the At-Large seat, which is a record response to the call for nominations! The Board appreciates the field’s over-whelming response and encourages your ongoing support and participation.

In an effort to reduce printing and postage costs, the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board will no longer be mailing renewal packets

to credentialed persons for their biennial renewal cycle. Instead, the offi ce will be mailing postcard reminders with a link on the Board’s website to where you may download and complete the application. The application is found under the RESOURCES AND FORMS link on the website. Please take note of your expira-tion date and plan your CEU’s accordingly!

Community Support Team LeaderSouthLight, Inc. has recently been approved as a CABHA agency as of June 1, 2010. We are seeking a Community Support Team Leader who will be respon-sible for clinical and administrative supervision and oversight of the Com-munity Support Team and will function as a practicing clinician on the team.
