To: Local officialsThe timing of the announcement in yesterday’s
Sarasota Herald-Tribune that FPL will commence instal-lation of SMART meters is frightening to me because prior to last month, I was unaware of the serious nega-tive health effects these devices can have on people and animals. I say this because a friend moved to Florida from Connecticut to work in Pinellas County where these meters are installed everywhere and 17 were puls-ing constantly outside the wall of her new apartment. There has never been an environmental impact study that I am aware of yet, contrary to what was ‘reported’ in the paper, these meters may be a good thing if you are willing to expose yourself to electromagnetic pulses that have proven to change lives. It appears than salamanders have more protection from the EPA than humans, cats, dogs... The following is a list of the symp-toms that my friend has developed since early April. We have found that these symptoms are shared with people around the world. The symptoms noted after the (*) are the ones that my friend has not yet experienced.
Severe headaches Tinnitus Nausea Body itching Cognitive breakdown Impaired speech Heart palpitations Chest pain Flu like symptoms Tremors Unexplained anxiety Fatigue Inability to concentrate Memory loss Electronic sensitivity making it physically uncomfort-
able to go into public buildings because most have this technology installed already. Also making normal contact with cell phones and computers physically difficult.
Loss of work time*Fainting spells
Dizziness Blurred vision Disrupted sleep Nose bleedsElectro-hypersensitivity is a condition not currently
recognized as a medical diagnosis but is of growing con-cern among neuroscience as wireless communications expands. To make a long story short, I have learned that 3-5 percent of people are like ‘canaries in a coal mine’ when it comes to physically responding to the electro-magnetic pluses that these new meters emit. For the rest of us, we will not necessarily notice the neurological changes that these EMPs may be making.
There is a Facebook page called “Save the Canaries” where I and others have begun to post info on this emerging threat to humans and animals. Please check it out! I have posted the timeline of my friends experience thru yesterday morning on that Facebook page called Save The Canaries.
What has not been reported there yet is the fact that yesterday afternoon, she and I ventured off Longboat Key for the first time since last Friday hoping that her sensitivity has diminished. We found that she is now so hypersensitive that when approaching a retail store she felt the pulsing in her head and being inside became intolerable after only a few minutes.
What is really troubling is the fact that our research has shown that people all over the world have had simi-lar reactions since these pulsing meters started appear-
ing somewhere between 2005 and 2007.Somewhat good news... We have learned that efforts
to allow people to permanently opt out are being suc-cessfully waged in Calif., Ga., Me., and elsewhere. As reported in VeroNews.com on April 3, here in Fla., the Board of County Commissioners passed a resolution asking that FPL and FL Public Service Commission to give FPL customers the right to permanently opt out of having a SMART meter installed on their home. A start for sure!
I implore you to ‘Google’ “What do I do if I have a smart meter on my home and it is making me sick?” — just for starters. Then come up with your own search question. I do not claim to be an expert on this. I am only attempting to ring a warning bell and ask others to look into this impending ‘asbestos-like’ nightmare of the century. Unlike asbestos, individuals will not have the option to avoid this new type of pollution because it is everywhere!
