Connect and collaborate, anywhereThe first thing I do when I get up is unplug my Surface Pro 4. I know it’ll last all day, and because it’s really slim, it fits easily into my bag and routine.

I just make the bus and have time to do some history revision with a pdf version of the textbook (no lugging heavy books around). I use the Drawboard PDF app to annotate and ink directly in the pdf, then pop it in OneNote, make notes and share it. I can also browse through interactive eBooks.

Connect and collaborate, anywhereFirst up is double maths. The Surface Pen is amazing – handwriting helps me remember material, but putting it in electronic form lets me store, edit and share it too. And because the pen is attached magnetically to the side of my Surface Pro 4, I won’t easily lose it.

Connect and collaborate, anywhereThen I head to the chemistry lab. I use the camera on my Surface Pro to take pictures of the setup and record clips of an experiment. Re-playing the recordings helps my lab partner and I get it right if we have to repeat it ourselves. I then embed my notes and the recording into my OneNote, so I’ll have them later.

Get organised, anywhereFree period at last! I use this time to check emails or play Minecraft (I can’t work all day).

Connect and collaborate, anywhereAt home, I get stuck into a project and re-work images in Photoshop. They look amazing – it really is just like using a graphics tablet. My friend uploads his section to OneDrive and we’re done. Then I stream movies from Netflix to unwind.
