The Concept

8 ½ Otto e Mezzo BOMBANA is Michelin Three Starred Chef Umberto

Bombana’s first restaurant in mainland China. This fine dining Italian

resturant is located in one of the most exclusive locations in Shanghai,

the Rockbund area, and offers unforgettable views and environment,

ideal for personal and business occasions.

Chef Owner Umberto Bombana and Executive Chef Riccardo La

Perna, hailing from Sicily, select products from all over the world

delivering outstanding Italian delicacies to the Shanghai culinary

scene.

Chef Riccardo comes with a baggage of impressive cooperations with

top Michelin-starred chefs together with important experiences in 5 star

hotels and prestigious fine dining restaurants in Italy and abroad.

Cuisine

Chef Riccardo La Perna’s dishes are refined, yet rich. Aromatic with all

the Mediterranean flavors that Riccardo expresses at their best.

Highlights include the homemade pastas, the delicate seafood dishes

and the selection of high quality, imported meats.

Special Menus are designed by Chef La Perna for private events,

created based on the clients’ specific requirements and

accompanied by the best wine recommendations by F&B Director &

Sommelier Gian Luca Fusetto.

WinesGeneral Manager Gian Luca Fusetto is an

internationally certified sommelier who has

worked in premium establishments such as

Ristorante Sadler in Beijing and The

Dorchester in London.

The wine list at 8 ½ Otto e Mezzo is a solid

collection of international wines, with a

focus on Italy. It was further developed

through the special collaboration with

prestigious Italian wineries such as Gaja,

Antinori and Moretti, that have given the

restaurant the exclusive of selected vintages

and wines.

Most importantly, Mr Fusetto is always

available in guiding the guests’ choice and

recommending outstanding wine pairings

based on the specific requirements.

Bar & Cocktails

The Bar Team at 8 ½ Otto e Mezzo

Bombana runs one of the best bars

in Shanghai with personalized

service, unique signature cocktails

and a wide selection of spirits.

The bar area is warm and inviting,

perfect for pre or post dinner

aperitifs.

For Spring and Summer, the Terrace

is the seasonal cocktail bar.

Private RoomsFor small to medium parties, the restaurant has 4 private dining rooms

of different sizes.

The two smaller rooms can accommodate up to 10 guests each, with

a long dining table set up.

The larger private rooms can

accommodate up to 14 guests with

one long dining table, up to 20 with an

imperial style table, and up to 30 with

two long dining tables.

The Private Dining Rooms are priced based on a minimum charge

that varies according to size and capacity.

Whole RestaurantThe restaurant can be entirely booked for larger private events:

dinners, cocktail parties, presentations, press conferences and

combinations of the above.

The maximum capacity for a seated dinner party is 80 guests.

For the Privatization of the whole restaurant, the minimum charge is

RMB 150,000 +10% all inclusive.

Terrace

The rooftop terrace offers

spectacular views over the Pudong

Skyline and the Huangpu River. It has

a central cocktail bar area which is

fully weatherproof and heated

(accommodating up to 50 standing

guests) and an open terrace area

with outdoors seating with a

capacity of up to 150 standing

guests. Ideal for private events,

private dining and cocktail parties.

Terrace Cocktail EventsThe charges for cocktail events are separated into food and

beverage, so your combination can be personalized!

If for your cocktail event you require the whole terrace bar to be
