STEP- BY- STEP WALKTHROUGH / ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS:

Use the navigation bar to access different areas of the site. Depending on your group visibility, you will have access to the premiums for which your group has pre-paid. You may see some or all of the options below. The main sections of the site are as follows:

Event Equipment: where you can borrow display, A/V, and miscellaneous equipment for your event. (Please note: event equipment is to be returned after your event)

Premiums: where you can access all premiums for which your group has pre-paid. Print Materials: where you can access and order all flyers, brochures, and other

customizable items, such as name badges and placards.

PREMIUMS

For each item there is a brief description, a thumbnail picture, and listing of the total quantity available. Each premium item is $0.00 because they are prepaid/stocked. The only cost you’ll be charged is shipping (which is billed through a Discovery FedEx account) and a flat fulfillment fee, which is $4.06 (whether you order 1 item or 500 items, regardless of the quantity of each item).

Please note: Circled in red above is where you’ll find the total quantity available. Arrow 1 is the drop-down menu to select how many you would like to order, and Arrow 2 points to where you add the item to your shopping cart. You may also see a fill-in box for Quantity, such as the second item in the picture. In this case, simply type in the number of premiums required for your order. * Always check the Quantity Available before making your quantity selection for your order. If the Quantity Available shows 0, this item is currently out of stock and cannot be shipped. *Keep in mind, in some cases, the premiums continue onto a 2nd or 3rd page.

PRINT MATERIAL

The Print Material section has been divided into four distinct categories: Custom - File Upload, Custom - Templates, On Demand - Flyers, and Stocked Items & Brochures.

CUSTOM and CUSTOM - TEMPLATES

The Custom Print section is where you can create customized name badges, placards, personalized notecards (to include with premiums shipping directly to a partner), and ad-hoc, where you can upload and print your own files or add personalized content to various Discovery Education templates. You can choose from various paper stocks, have the option for black and white or color,one-sided or two-sided, and you can choose to staple, 3-hole punch, or add lamination to certain items.

ON DEMAND - FLYERS

The On Demand - Flyers section houses all of the current flyers and one-sheet documents divided into respective categories outlined below.

For each flyer, there is a link to “Preview Full Size Image” where you can enlarge the view of the flyer and download it to your computer, if desired. On each product page, there is also a pricing grid which shows lot pricing by quantity. (Scroll right to view larger quantity pricing.)

STOCKED ITEMS & BROCHURES

The Stocked Items & Brochures section will house any current items that are not a single page, like the Discovery Education Sales Brochure, which will be purchased by Marketing. The note stickers are optimal for adding to gifts or on premiums.

Once you have added to cart all the items required for your order (premiums, equipment, and print material can all be combined on the same order), you are ready to proceed to the checkout page. Click on the “Cart” button located at the top of the screen. No matter where you are in the site, the Cart will show in the same location on every page.

Proceed through the checkout process by filling out completely all required fields indicated with an asterisk (*). The order summary will clearly state how much is being charged to the cost center associated with your account. The summary of charges will not include the flat rate fulfillment fee of $4.06 per order, but there is a note indicating this charge on the checkout screen.

The Delivery Date (Needed by) is a required field which will determine the shipping speed for FedEx. All orders are shipped via Discovery’s FedEx account. Notes to the fulfillment center can be entered in the NOTES section. Notes can include special instructions regarding print items, details needed for shipping (i.e.: please deliver by 10:30am), and the expected return date for the equipment you have checked out.

REMINDER: If your order needs to ship the same day the order is placed, there is a 3:30pm EST cut-off time for orders to be submitted. Large quantities of on-demand printing or add-ons, such as 3-hole punching and lamination, may require additional production time.

Once your order is placed, you will receive a series of confirmation emails:

1) An email from L&R immediately after you place the order confirming that the order has been received.

2) A second email from L&R once your order has been packed and is ready to ship. This email will include the FedEx tracking number.

3) An email from FedEx once the order is picked up from L&R confirming that your shipment is en route.

4) A final email from FedEx confirming your order has been delivered.

DSF Shipping Best Practices

When ordering materials from the DSF to ship to a hotel or school….

Always include the name of the hotel or school in the “Company” field Always include “Attn” information, which should be a contact at the school or the recipient at

the hotel. (Attn: Guest – Arrival Month/Day) If shipping to a hotel, always call the hotel before placing your order to confirm they can

receive packages for you, especially if the package will arrive in advance of you checking in. Be sure to ask for any special instructions required for delivery.

If shipping to a school, contact the school in advance to let them know a shipment is coming, or forward the tracking information to them once it is available.

When returning equipment…

Use the return labels provided by L&R in your shipment. This can be used if FedEx is picking up the packages for you, or if you are dropping them off at a FedEx location.

Be sure your location/contact with whom you are leaving the package is clear on how to make sure it is returned. If you must, you can call 1-800-GO-FEDEX to schedule a pick up, but it is recommended that you drop off the equipment at a FedEx location whenever possible. There are usually multiple FedEx drop off locations in each city; they can easily be located by visiting http://www.fedex.com/locate/.
