    PhilosophyDiscovery Kidzone Montessori Preschool uses a contemporary approach tMethod of Education combined with the Developmental Theory, High/Scope and Rbelieves that children have the ability to teach themselves by constructing knowledgwe provide. The teacher in a Montessori classroom acts as a facilitator or guide preso that children can learn on their own, and at their own pace.

    My name is Rachel Supalla. I was born and raised in San Diego, Ca. I acceptmy savior at a very young age. He is the Lord of my life. My family and I att

    First Assembly of God. I have been in the Education field for over 15 years. for children ages infant to 10. I went to college in Springfield, Mo. and San DCalifornia with a major in child development. I have taught preschool for 7 ykindergarten for 3. I was a nursery coordinator at La Mesa First Assembly of February of 2010 I completed my Montessori certification. I married my highsweetheart, Eric in 1999 and we now have 4 beautiful children, Abbie (9), Alland Trent (3) I have always loved the field of child development and just childlove teaching them new things and watching them grow.

    Hours of Operation

    School is open from 8:40AM until 2:50 PM Monday through Friday. Hours ofcontracted from child to child. We will follow a traditional School holiday anschedule.

    We offer before and after school care from 7:30-8:40 and 2:50-4:00 at an addiPayment Procedures:

    Health MattersIllness:Under no circumstance is a sick child to attendDiscovery Kidzone Montessori School. The children should be allowed to recover fully from an illness in the comforthome. The other children in care are exposed to any disease your child may brhome. If you are unable to remain home with your child, it is your responsibilsubstitute childcare arrangements. Obviously, it is not possible to prevent the illness. However, minimizing exposure and providing good hygienic practicesare means by which we can limit the problem and the resulting inconveniencethe benefit of all involved, the following policies will be strictly enforced:Children who have exhibited ANY symptoms of infectious illness within the phour period are likely to be contagious and should remain at home. Examplessymptoms include, but are not limited to, fever of 100F measured orally or 10rectally, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, sore throat, loss of voice, hacking or cocoughing, yellow or green runny nose, draining eyes or ears, rash, or head liceright to determine whether a child should remain in the home where illness is

    Parents of children who become ill during the day will be promptly notified ato arrange to pick up their child immediately within 30 min or a health hazardbe assessed. The sick child will, if possible, be isolated from the other childreexposure. If the parent cannot be reached, the person designated as the emergewill be notified.

    Medications:No child will be given any medication, prescription or over the counter. Prescmedication shall have the childs name, name of medication, Doctors name, npharmacy, prescription number, date, and directions for administering.     Medical Emergencies:

    Although supervision is constantly given, I cannot be by the childs side at all falls, tripping, bumps, blows from other children, etc. If the child is injured inthreatening way, I will assess the child and provide home first aid. If the injurythe parent will be notified so the child can be transported to the hospital or doc(I.e. needs stitches, broken arm, or dislocation, etc.) All costs associated with child will be the responsibility of the parent. In case of a medical emergency, contact you immediately. If I am unable to reach you, I will start calling the peas your emergency contacts. If I am unable to reach you or your emergency cotransport your child to his/her doctor or to the hospital, if necessary. If immedintervention is required, I am certified in infant, child, and adult CPR and Firstake appropriate action including calling 911 and having your child transportePeters Hospital.
