Theitemworldhastwomainbenefits:first,theitemworldiswhereyousubdueSpecialists,andsecond,eachflooroftheitemworldthatyoucompleteaddsasmallamountofpowertotheitem.Theitemworldisalsotheonlyplaceyoucangetsomeofthebestequipmentofthegame,thereisanearlychapterthatrequiresyoutogothroughatleasttenlevelsoftheitemworld,anditisnecessarytocompletetheitemworldforaLegendaryitemtogetoneoftheendingsofthegame.

Theitemworldisessentiallyalong,randomlygenerateddungeon.Eachlevelhasrandomtopology,andmayincludeislands,someofwhichmaybe

faroutofreach.

Eachlevelwillalwayscontainabasepanelanda'DimensionalWarp'whichtakesyoutothenextlevelwithoutcompletingthecurrentone.Althoughportionsoftheitemworldmaybedisconnected,thebasepanelandDimensionalWarpwillbeconnected.(TheDimensionalWarpmaybetoohighforanycharactertojumporbethrownto,ormaybeotherwiseunreachable,butitwillalwaysbe*connected*tothebasepanel.)SittingontopoftheDimensionalWarpmaybeanenemyunitwiththespecialtype'Gatekeeper'.AGatekeeperwillnevermovefromthatspot(andanyunitontheDimensionalWarpcannotbelifted).Itcan,however,bemovedbyspecialattackssuchasTripleStrike,orwarpedaway.Everylevelwillhaveaminimumofthreeenemyunits.(Note:
