November 1st Holiday Card LaneThe holiday season is rapidly approaching. All units, staff offices, agencies and organizations are invited to participate in a Holiday Card Lane display. Please complete and return the entry form NLT November 9, 2012 to the Family and MWR Special Events (FMWR) Office, ATTN: Kathy Giannetti (event POC) by email ([email protected]) or by fax (655-1780). Entry form located at himwr.com.

Each entry will be judged on its craftsmanship/artistic quality (includes color, design and legibility); expressiveness of message; and overall appearance. Awards will be presented to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners during the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony scheduled for December 4, 2012 at Schofield Barracks (Generals Loop) and on December 6, 2012 at Fort Shafter (Palm Circle).

November 1st Cardio Room Closure @ Martinez PFCThe Martinez Physical Fitness Center (PFC) gymnasium will be closed from October 29 through December 3, 2012 to remove and install eight new basketball basket support structures/arms. Social Security Disability - November 2, 9, and 30th, 10:00 am -1:00 pm, SFAC Building 692, Schofi eld Barracks (WT Assigned to Warrior Transition Unit). Social Security representatives come to SFAC to assist Wounded Soldiers fi le Social Security Disability claims for their injuries. Service is for Soldiers in Transition Only.

Master Resiliency TrainingNovember 8th and 29th, 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, SFAC Building 692, Schofi eld Barracks (STs and Family Members Assigned to Warrior Transition Unit). Help Soldiers in transition understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and help others identify and correct counterproductive patterns in thinking through the use of Critical Questions.
