PERSONAL
On 17th Jan. 2000, I was involved in a car accident which resulted in me losing my
sensation and movement in the lower part of the body, and the consequent sitting in a
wheelchair. This did not prevent me from practicing my activities with high and
satisfied spirit. This included lecturing, researching, writing, supervising MA and PhD
students, delivering the Friday prayer’s sermons, and participating in several
conferences, board committees, and radio and TV programmes.
All thanks to Allah for granting me strength and patience to pursue my academic
activities and lead my life gracefully. May Allah accept our good deeds and help us to
accomplish our duties in serving Islam. Amen.
