Bow Valley College-Professional Development Day March 17, 2011
Presenter: Andy Benoit
This practical presentation will be of interest to staff and faculty who need to develop and distribute information and learning over the internet. This presentation focuses on two broad goals: 1. This presentation will overview the basic capabilities of four types of software and provides examples that showcase multimedia capabilities.

2. This presentation will offer illustrative examples of how the software can be used in Blackboard and Adobe Connect.
• Note: There is an Adobe Connect upgrade planned for April-May 2011 from version 7.5 to 8.
• Note: There is always a possibility of an upgrade from Blackboard CE8 to a newer version, or perhaps even moving to an alternate LMS, i.e., Moodle.

• Information increases exponentially. The time we have is fixed. Time constraints dictate which information we attend to.
Appetite for Information and Learning + Classroom Technology In conjunction with increasing demand for information and learning, classroom technologies are evolving. This creates new opportunities to engage students and facilitate access to learning.
