As part of Moeller’s comprehensive range of consumer units, A & B Type boards and panel boards, the Mini Panel Board has been developed to meet the needs of UK specifi ers, electrical contractors and distributors to the latest British, European and international standards. MCCB Panel BoardsMoeller’s MCCB Panel Boards are designed and built to the latest British and European standards. The panel boards are ASTA certifi ed and fully type tested to BS EN 60439-1.

Wall-mounted with Form 2 separation as standard (Form 3b with additional shrouding), they provide a fl exible solution for a wide range of distribution requirements up to 800 A.

As well as Moeller’s LZM range of moulded case circuit breakers and PN / N switch disconnectors, the panel boards can also hold Moeller’s NZM range of moulded case circuit breakers to provide diagnostic and operational data. The NZM range can give information on energy use around a building and is also ideal for diagnostics in high integrity applications.

Residual Current ProtectionThe new Moeller relay/transducer combination covers operating currents from 1 A to 1,800 A. Fault currents are detected and processed by the relay from 30 mA to 5 A. The adjustable relay provides a pre-warn function which alerts before the set fault current is exceeded. The pre-warning allows preventative action to be taken to avoid shutdown of the supply. The current relay signals that the set fault current has been exceeded with a changeover contact. Depending on the application, the contact signal can be subsequently processed in the controls, as well as by the shunt or undervoltage release fitted to the circuit breaker, which initiates the trip. The relay and transducer can be combined with every moulded case circuit breaker and switch disconnector. The ring-type transducer can be placed at a suitable position on the cable run.

Moeller’s range of surge protection devices provide three levels of protection against short circuits, overloads and transient overvoltages.Class B devices Distribution boards should be equipped with class B surge protective devices. This type of device will discharge most of the surge voltages entering your premises through overhead power lines or through the external lightning protection system into the ground.Class C devices Downstream of the distribution board (where the class B surge protective devices are installed) over-voltage will still get into your electric system, leaving many electric appliances vulnerable. Designed with The Building Regulations part L2 in mindEnergy management is a fundamental part of any power distribution system installed in the UK today, and for the foreseeable future.

Based on our customers’ experi-ences, Moeller design engineers have incorporated the capability to include energy metering at any stage of the design and build process, without having to change anything except the addition of a new door. It can even be incorporated when the distribution board has been installed on site.

xEnergy – reliably and safely controlling, switching and ena-bling the management of power in industry and in buildings.

Functionality is a fundamentalThe xEnergy switchboard system consists of IEC/EN 60439 type-tested function modules. These have an internal separa-tion up to Form 4, and comply with various national or regional installation requirements, such as DIN VDE, CEI, NF or UNE. This means you can design customised solutions for use in several different countries.

The xEnergy system offers you a wide range of options for implementing power distribution reliably, economically and fully in accordance with your customers’ requirements.

You can use feeder and coupling sections for circuit-breakers up to 4,000 A, and individually equipped outgoer sections with fixed compartment modules for switching and protective devices up to 630 A.

Outgoer sections up to 630 A for switch-fuse strips, fuse rails and fuse switch-disconnectors are also available.

Control sections and empty sections can be combined as requi-red for installing ancillary components such as motor starters, PFC modules, frequency inverters, soft starters or for automa-tion solutions. The mounting systems for rail-mounted service installation devices can be used in conventional service distri-bution boards.

IZM and NZM circuit-breakers for xEnergy power sections

Type-tested switchgear assemblies (TTA) up to 4,000 A. Clear and symmetrical design with only one circuit-breaker

per section reduces the number of busbar connections and saves mounting requirements.

Internal separation up to Form 4 increases personnel and system protection.

Fast and direct allocation of circuit-breaker mounting kits for the mechanical fastening of circuit-breakers.

High level of flexibility in the terminal area thanks to alternative connection options.

NZM and PKZ circuit-breakers for xEnergy outgoer sections

3-pole and 4-pole switching and protective devices, type-tested switchboard systems (TTA) up to 630 A.

Max. 38 fixed compartment modules in one section (H 50 mm), optimum device utilisation despite high packing density.
