We, at best, accept each other cultural peculiarities and at worst we tolerate all of it. There are those who are intent on changing our landscape by importing their political battles on the homefront but Canadians must stand strong and we should all stand firm for peace, unity and diversity. I could not imagine living in monocultural society. I remember when my children went to Korea to visit their dad, they said it was a nice country but did not like it that much because of its lack of diversity. Diversity adds colour, contrast and promotes curiosity and life is more unpredictably fun and it fosters healthy curiosity and inter-racial bondings of all kinds. Let us all keep up the good work of making this country even better than it is. Here’s a look at what our volunteers saw Multiculturalism Day. Not even the rain could not stop the shows.

Multiculturalism Day -Canada DayTwo great opportunities to celebrate Canada’s rich diversity and toand appreciate the jewel we live in . There are not many countriesin the world that are as peaceful as Canada. We have our issues butCanadians are not prone to extremes. We, at best, accept each othercultural peculiarities and at worst we tolerate all of it. Ingredients•1 Tbsp. coconut oil•1/2 of a large onion, chopped•2 garlic cloves, chopped•1 cup quinoa, rinsed•1 1/4 cups chicken stock or water•1 (15.5 ounce) can black beans, rinsed anddrained•1/2 of a red bell pepper, chopped•8 to 10 grape tomatoes, halved•1 cup corn kernels (fresh or frozen)•1 tsp. cumin•1 tsp. salt•1/2 tsp. ancho chile powder•Sour cream or plain Greek yogurt, for topping•Sliced avocado, for topping•Shredded Mexican cheese blend, for topping•Sliced scallions, for toppingDirections: Heat oil in a medium nonstickskillet over medium heat.
