A Core Requirement for completion of Professional Development Institute (PDI) is “Diversity in the Workplace”

Workshops are offered both fall & spring semesters

If you cannot attend a Workshop, the following individual assignment will allow you to earn the PDI credit

4.  what evidence do you find of a commitment to a Diverse Workplace in the organization's Hiring Practices?  (for example) Are there any statements or requirements that might exclude any group or population?  Are there any statements or requirements that might cause any group or population to feel "less welcome or less included"?

What about photographs used on the web?  Do they represent diversity with regard to physical appearance?

5.  What do you see in the Recruiting, Hiring and Employment Practices that you feel creates an Inclusive Workplace, i.e., diverse groups of individuals are welcome, valued, and appreciated in the organization?

affinity or peer groups? Does the organization promote “community” both at work and among employees outside of work? Are “advocacy & mentoring programs” valued by the organization? If so, describe.
