All of the games will be played at the Pennington Athletic Complex off of Hornet Road. Players ranging from 7-12 years old participate in this event. Dixie Youth Baseball encompasses eleven states in the southeast and each state will send representatives here to vie for the World Series Championship. For 2 weeks, Lumberton and LYBA will host 60 teams, 720 players and their families for community based baseball. $10/Day pass, $25/Series pass, children 12 years and under, free. LYBA is a parent run, volunteer non-profit organization. It is operated collaboratively with the City of Lumberton and its recreation department. FAYETTEVILLE WOMAN’S CARE RIBBON CUTTINGFayetteville Woman’s Care held its Ribbon Cutting with the Lumberton Area Chamber of Commerce on Friday, June 22. Drs. Myron Strickland, Shay Davis, Brandt Wood and Christine Booth greeted members of the community to their new location at 588 Bailey Rd. Dr. Strickland spoke on behalf of the practice sharing their goal of providing the residents of Robeson and surrounding counties quality OB/Gyn care. The providers want the residents to be able to seek care right at home. Fayetteville Woman’s Care looks forward to working collaboratively with the other medical providers in the community. VALLEY REGIONAL IMAGING IS OPENValley Regional Imaging (VRI) is an independent outpatient imaging center providing a wide range of radiology services for patients and physicians.
