(1) Gather a sharp pair of scissors and two plastic soda bottles that have been rinsed clean. (2) Cut onebottle at its neck, just before it the bottle widens (this will be the top of your terrarium). Cut thebottom from the second bottle so that you have at least a 4-inch deep bowl (this will be the bottom).(3) Add ½” pea gravel or other material in the bottom to create space for extra water to collect.
(4) Cut a paper coffee filter to fit inside the base over top of the pea gravel. This will keep your pottingsoil from mixing in. (5) Add moist potting soil to the bottom. (6) Prepare 3 to 5 small plant cuttings.
(7) Stick the plant cuttings into the moist potting soil. (8) Carefully place the top of the terrarium over the plants andinto the potting soil. It should tuck inside of the terrariumbottom. (9) Your terrarium is complete! Place in a spot withbright but indirect light. Moisture will condense on the sideswithin a few hours. Enjoy! As your plants root in and grow, youwill need to transfer them to a larger container.
