BIO

Internationally recognized music producer, artistic director and DJ, Béco Dranoff has been active in the music industry for over 25 years with a multi-faceted career and credits in Grammy™ and Oscar™ nominated productions. Notable projects include the Red Hot + Rio HIV/AIDS awareness compilations, Os Mutantes compilation with David Byrne, and documentary Beyond Ipanema: Brazilian Waves in Global Music. As the co-founder of the Ziriguiboom label, Béco signed and co-produced Brazilian star Bebel Gilberto’s three solo albums and remixes that swept the world in the mid-2000’s.   As a DJ, Music Selector and Compiler, Béco has worked with brands and events such as NY Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Max Mara, Coca Cola, Wallpaper Magazine, Swarovski, UMA, Smoking Rolling Paper, Leblon, Abu Dhabi Culture Summit and venues such as Central Park Summerstage, Lincoln Center Out Of Doors, Cielo, SXSW, Americano, Hudson and Bowery Hotels. Béco also produces the monthly modern Brazilian music program Brazilab for acclaimed Spanish Radio Gladys Palmera. Béco has DJ’d in Japan, China, New Zealand, Australia, plus several cities in Brazil and the US.   Commercial compilations include: NovaBossa, SambaSoul70, Bebel Gilberto Remixed, Smoking Brasil DeLuxe, Brasil2Mil, the feature film soundtrack for ‘Next Stop Wonderland’ and more. Béco has been included in Vogue’s Brazil’s list of the ‘Top 100 Brazilians in New York’.
