Silica Gel

Factory may use its own source of silica gel but it must be RoHS and REACH compliant. Certification from a DKNY third party lab must be submitted as part of test requirements. For all flat packed garments require 20 packets distributed around edges of box after packing the garments and before closing the box. Each silica gel should weigh 2 grams. **DO NOT PUT silica gel for European orders.**

Mould/mildew/odor could form during warehousing and transportation. The best way to prevent any issues with mold and mildew are the precautions the factory takes before the garments are packed.

1. Factory should be clean 2. Pallets/packers should be a min of 80 cm from the wall 3. Inspectors/packing personnel should wear gloves 4. Most importantly, a dry steam setting is used

Provincial (TSSA) Label

Provincial (TSSA) Label is required to be added on filled garment for Canada orders. TSSA label should be printed with English and French and it should be placed below care label.

PACKAGING – LEATHER PRODUCTS

Leather Goods 1) All metal components/ buttons etc (anything that would leave an impression on leather skin) should be tissue wrapped 2) If style is to be garment washed, extra precaution must be taken to protect components in the drum. Tabs can be attached after washing 3) As garments are being flat packed, operators need to avoid folding sleeves so that sleeve zippers/buttons are not in direct contact with body 4) Insert cardboard inside garment 5) Place tissue paper on front and back of garment before inserting into polybag (see picture) 6) Ventilation holes or flutter vents must be present in polybag - not enough to fold up bottom and tape closed 7) Silica gel should be placed in the pockets of garments as well as packer. If there are no pockets - place in folded package 8) Garments must be thoroughly dry before packing 9) Do no hide hangtag; always keep hangtag visible outside of garment
