By all accounts, crime seems to be increasing across the nation. .Police corruption is an issue

which is much talked in our country. The corruption level is so much that people of our country

do not trust the police at all.. The young generation and the police have a huge gap and

miscommunication in our country. Now, this is a very alarming situation because if the young

generation do not trust the police the crime in our country will only tend to increase. This gap,

between the young generation and the police can be reduced in a couple of ways which we will

discuss in our ideas.

Current scenario: Problems of youth with police

First, to reduce the gap between youth and the police, we have to understand the current

scenario in our country. Why don't the youth trust the police when they come across any crime

related problems? What perception do they have about the police? We have asked a lot of

young people and through our research we came to know that :

Students don’t seek help from the police whenever they are in trouble because they

think police will give them more problems.

Students believe that corruption exists among police and police will want bribe.

The police people are not smart enough to help the young adults.

The police are outdated and control the crimes themselves!

This is their perception about the police which is really upsetting.

Now if we want to reduce the distance among the police and youth first of all we have

to change the perception of youth. Nothing can be done if the youth do not feel about

the police.

Our IDEA:

What are the ways that we can use our ideas to change the perception of youths? First

of all we have to have an idea, the idea which will help them to feel good about the

police. That is they are not our enemies. We will do this through a TV program called the

"Super Cops". Now "Super Cops," the name is almost self explanatory, it says that the

cops are superior and heroes(inherent meaning). This name will create a buzz among

the youth to know more about the program.

Now what is Super Cops? No, this is not regular TV program like other. This will not be

shown in TV at all! Infact, it won't be shown at TV at all? How many youth in our country

do watch TV? Very less. So , it will be only shows in youtube and communicated via

social medias like Facebook which is the biggest hub for the youths. According to a news

by Financial Express, almost 2.8 million where facebook users in Bangladesh,presently

even more. Neverthless , most people among them are youth. We have noticed how a

particular cop from DMP has communicated in a great way via facebook with youths.

a) Main Plot of the program:

Our program is very different from regular tv shows. Not only the stories of our

program will be from real life crime scenarios, the actors( main actor and supporting

actors mainly) will be real life cops! Yes, they will act here as a part of their training

program after a series of screening. They will be projected as smart , daring, honest and

and cool cops to the youth. Hence , youth will think no police are really not that corrupt

bad!
