PrinciplesDNA isolation is a process used to extract DNA from various sources.
Ethanol is used to precipitate out the DNA and then collected through DNA spooling. Click icon to add picture
+ ProceduresDissolve EDTA and
NaCl in 900 ml Distilled H2O.
Add 100 ml Axion liquid detergent.
Blend onion chunks with 100
ml of mixture.
Heat for 30 mins at 50°C.
Cool in an ice bath for 10 mins and
filter.
Collect 5 ml of filtered fluid and place in test tube.
Spool the DNA from the bottom of the test tube using
a stirring rod.
Add 10 ml of 95% chilled ethanol.

Results
After completing the process of DNA isolation, a white substance should appear at the bottom of the test tube.
