STEP BY STEP Do-It-Yourself MATERIALS Home & Garden Store: • Terracota Pot • Powdered Grout • Plants & Flowers Art & Craft Store: • Bag of 3/8” Ceramic Tiles • Mosaic Adhesive Glue Supermarket: • Sponge & Paper Towels • Mixing container • Spoon MOSAIC COASTERS Use 4” square bathroom tiles from a home & garden store to create decorative drink coasters. TIP Use old ceramic cracked plates to make irregular shaped mosaics! Flower Pot Mosaic Work on one square at a time. 1 Once you have decided on a design or pattern, apply a coat of glue over the edge of the pot. 3 Mix a little bit of water with about a quarter cup of powdered grout. It should be the consistancy of thick pancake batter. Make small batches at a time! This may take some trial and error and experimentation. 5 Let the grout dry for twenty minutes. Rub off the grout from the top of the tiles with a sponge. 2 Carefully place the tiles evenly separated from each other. Take your time until the edge is completed. Let the glue dry for a few hours. 4 Rub the wet grout over the tiles so they fill the spaces in between the them. Grout above and below the edge of the pot too. Flower Pot Mosaic

Work on one square at a time.

1 Once you have decided on a design or pattern, apply a coat of glue over the edge of the pot.
